Just set up a Bandcamp for The Good Ones, where I’ll be posting a new batch of demos. Last time we posted any Good Ones stuff was when we posted the Japanese Grandmother demo as a digital single. Anyway, check it out – there are already 2 demos posted as free downloads, and more coming in the next few weeks. If you’re in the mood for some cheeky power-pop from the southwest, you’re in luck!

Hey folks, I haven’t done any First Impressions stuff in a while, but I just had to do something with this Cudderisback track. Cudi + Vampire Weekend is a dream come true, but I couldn’t help but feel it needed a little tweaking. Enjoy!

We know. It’s been awhile since KillerPOP Records has released any new jams, but would you rather we pump something out every week, or meditate on it a bit so we can put out something substantial every once and awhile? Hopefully, you picked the latter, cus that’s just what we did. Eleven and the Falcons have just dropped their sophomore release on KPR titled All The Clocks Around The Town Had Died. It’s a four-song EP of all cover songs and they run the gamut from smoky and somber to epic a capellas. That’s the album art up top and you can click right here to download the damn thang absolutely FREE! Track list and original versions after the jump.

Vampire Weekend are back, this time with a beautiful gem about my favorite beverage on earth – horchata. Enjoy!

Flavorwire is streaming Karen O and The Kids’ Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack, so check it out while it’s up. I’m only a couple tracks in, but it’s already shaping up to be my favorite original soundtrack since Badly Drawn Boy’s About A Boy.

Guess how much Kid Cudi’s (phenomenal) debut album, Man On The Moon costs on Amazon right now? $3.99. Not kidding. If you want a couple bonus tracks (that you probably already have from the pre-album mixtapes), you can pay $5.99, which is still dirt cheap, but $3.99? Come on! No excuse, people. No excuse not to buy this album.
Okay, still making up excuses? Go listen to it for FREE on Cudi’s myspace. Then spend $3.99 to buy the damn thing.
KillerPOP saving you money in this, the Great Recession.

This is one of the many killer tracks off of Drake’s original “So Far Gone” mixtape, but now it appears to belong to Trey Songz, who sings the hook. That’s fine with me, as Trey’s one of the best R&B singers in the game right now, and he really does bring a lot to Drake’s material. If you haven’t already heard it from the mixtape, TheFader just posted a link to download it. Speaking of TheFader, did you know Drake is their cover this month? Check it out. It’s his very first cover story.
