By now you all know how I love my mixtapes. Well, I’ve got a couple more gems for ya. One of them is even trying to bump Theophilus London out of his “best mixtape album art of ’09” spot with artwork featuring Sonic the Hedgehog (in Super Sonic mode) holding out a bouquet of flowers. WTF? The artist is Charles Hamilton, who you may remember from his recent jam “Brooklyn Girls”. Here he spends an entire mixtape presumably trying to woo Rihanna, and appropriately names the thing Well Isn’t This Awkward. Lucky for him, looks like she might be single now…
The second mixtape I’m linking is sort of a best-of-Q-Tip affair, but you really can’t go wrong with that. Found it at the always wonderful Okayplayer.
