We have a brand new release today! The debut full-length album from KillerPOP Records artist Eleven &the Falcons, The Death Vine, was released digitally today. You can find it on our music page, RIGHT HERE! For now, it’s FREE! But soon we will change it to name-your-own-price which means technically it’s still FREE! But if ya wanna throw some money at us and the band, you can. All 14 masterful songs were written, performed, recorded, and mixed by the band. The album art was hand-made by Christian BC and the liner notes (included in the download) were crafted by the band and made all sexy by Ali and her sister Amber. So go stream it, download it, and share it. And we’d love love love to hear your thoughts on it, good or bad.

It has recently come to my attention that the (standard version of) Julian Casablancas’ debut solo album, Phrazes for the Young, is $4.99 on iTunes this week. If that price isn’t enough to convince you, let me just say that this is the best record to come out of the Strokes family since Room on Fire. For the rich folks among us, you might spring for the $9.99 deluxe version, which features 3 more tracks.

NIKE’s released this new iPhone app earlier this month. You can actually extract color combinations from any photo and place them on a design of your choice! I’m guessing it’s expensive, but can you really put a price on a pair of rainbow shoes?? Worth it.

Guess how much Kid Cudi’s (phenomenal) debut album, Man On The Moon costs on Amazon right now? $3.99. Not kidding. If you want a couple bonus tracks (that you probably already have from the pre-album mixtapes), you can pay $5.99, which is still dirt cheap, but $3.99? Come on! No excuse, people. No excuse not to buy this album.
Okay, still making up excuses? Go listen to it for FREE on Cudi’s myspace. Then spend $3.99 to buy the damn thing.
KillerPOP saving you money in this, the Great Recession.

KillerPOP is helping you out yet again during these trying times of tight budgets and underemployment. This time, I’m directing you toward another new release at a nice price – Amanda Blank’s debut LP, I Love You, for $7.99. You’re thinking, “Hey, last week you told me about that YACHT album and it was only $5.99.” Yeah, well that was last week, you ungrateful jerk. I’m just trying to give you a heads up that if you’re inclined to spend actual money on this record (and I would suggest it, since Amanda Blank is such a deserving lady) you should buy it on iTunes, where it is $7.99 (like it says in the picture!), and not on Amazon, where it is $9.49. Use your brain, dum dums!
UPDATE: Still not sold? Stream the whole album here and make up your mind.
