Just finished watching the latest (and potentially last) Futurama movie, Into the Wild Green Yonder. This feature length animated adventure was just released today on DVD and hi-def BluRay. After the first two movies, which were enjoyable with sections of tedium, and the third, which was plain unwatchable, I must say I had my reservations about this title. After all, Futurama is one my favorite television series of all time, and this is potentially the final sendoff. Well, I’ve got to say that this was easily the best of the 4 DVD movie releases. Enjoyable from start to finish, the characters stay in character, the jokes don’t fall flat and you finally feel like you’re watching a genuine, classic episode of Futurama. Oh, and the end is a nice wrap up for the series, if this does wind up being the final hoorah. Kudos, Futurama crew. It’s been a long, strange ride!
